I have not been able to get through the whole map, I wonder if I'm missing something? I didn't look in the unreal editor yet.

Do anyone remember this kind of map where Mercenary are on your team and your group take a fight force against the Queen?

I'd like to know if anyone remember the name of the map/link to it.

On the side note: Trying to find if there are such thing that show a group of monsters that are friendly to one and enemy to the other like Skaarj and pupae are friendly to each other but not friendly to Nali/Human. Any relation to this in a map will also be helpful.

(Maybe that will explain why 'monsters attacking each other' for the mappers who are new to MH Mapping. A visual info may be helpful but I'll get one made if none are out there.)

I collected these info from the Unreal Editor reading the script class of each one. Using v436. Other version may be different if anything?

Brute
Friendly to: Brute, nali
Hate: Nali
Note: Behemoth and Lesserbrute may follow the same attitude as they are subclassed from Brute script.

Cow
Friendly to: Cow
Fear: Skaarj
Note: Babycow may have same attitude.

Devilfish
Friendly to: Devilfish
Hate: ScriptedPawn

Fly
Not defined, may has depended some info from ScriptedPawn script.
Including:
Manta - CaveManta, GiantManta; Squid; Warlord

Krall
Friendly to Kralls
Hate Nali
Note: If Team Leader, it will speak to SkaarjWarriors and maybe to other scripted pawn team leaders. And play dices.
KrallElite and LeglessKrall may follow same attitude order.

Mercenary
Friendly to Mercenary.
Note: Also speaks to the team leaders Merc. MercenaryElite may also follow order.

Nali Always fearful.
Friendly to Nali
Fear to other ScriptedPawn and Cow.
Note: If Nali see any pawn killing other pawn, it will fear the pawn killer. NaliPriest may follow order.
I think there are several capability using Triggers and Navigation to make them go to an area and unlock things.

Pupae
Friendly to Pupae, SkaarjBerserker/Skaarj, Warlord, and Queen.
Hate any other scripted pawn.

Queen
Friendly to Pupae, sometimes Skaarj/SkaarjBerserker
Hate Nali.

Skaarj
Friendly to Pupae, Warlord, and Queen. May ignore SkaarjBerserker.
Hate Nali.
Note: ALL other subclasses of Skaarj may follow order.

Slith
Friendly to Slith
Hate Nali

Tentacle
Friendly to Tentacle
Hate other scripted pawn.

Titan
Friendly to Titan
Hate other scripted pawn.
Note: StoneTitan may follow order.

The last but not least, and the main one of them all:
ScriptedPawn
Uhh I'll bbl, this one have a complex lol.
Note: If seen Pawn, it's automatic enemy. If other bumps into the other = enemy.

Special note: XC_Engine have the fix to stop monsters from fighting against other monsters. This may break a few default/certain maps that let monsters from other team vs other monsters team working but if anyone know any more info about these map do let me know so I can add the 'exclusion' to make it work as normal.

Does anyone know any idea to get around this or what causes this?

I was compiling a new subclass and when finished, it doesn't complete as this MonsterShadow comes up with an error, preventing me to finish a custom script.

The script I wrote is fine in a standalone vanilla map. But when MonsterHunt.u was there, this MonsterShadow error steps in the way.

I tried to copy the original from the standalone vanilla map and paste it but it didn't work.

The custom script I made is dependent on a .u file, so I only know how to MyLevel it but not how to make it an individual file (Which I guess it'll make mismatch or something).

Edit: Just got the memo and it's rather late: Don't load MH.u b4 having to code. Load MH.u last and use Higor's build. Oh well.

That seems to be a redirect failing and crashing you? Did you try downloading the map/files from the site and then connect to the server anyway?

Hey Q, yeah this place got the ultimate site design for MH lol best one out there but they should implement some proper MH tutorial and dev mappers too imo... Smile

So I'm wondering how it's an error when I criss-cross them and using multiple triggers for monsters when I thought I have it in the design of what I think as I wanted it to be?

The reason why I have the 2 upstart was just for the fun if the players enter the left will trigger the right and give them a surprise and vice versa.

& then for the other 2 for the larger box, they both trigger different monster.

I guess I have the unpopular ways of doing things. I like to be outside of the box. :/

Ahhhh so I was possibly only missing a trigger. Neat.

I had several "wtf" moments when you use the copy pasta on the texture, actors, and brushes.  Laughing   Not something I've done very often but omgz.

Ok, back to mapping!  :D

Edit: Ok, let's see if I do well? Here is my submission and I hope I learned it well. Only a practical and non-official, but this one is like a homework submission if you don't mind lol. I could say I've had confusion about the tagging and was wondering why some monsters weren't spawning until I looked it over again.

I demand a tutorial by end of next week! lol... unless I figured it myself or not. Can be anyone too, if anyone up for a challenge.

Would like to acquire knowledge to spawn #  (Limited, I'm not a fan of unlimited that break the end of the game result at the end but you can add that too for the people who want to make annoying ones lol) of the monster in the certain location. Only it should spawn itself and not having to use anything that triggers it. Can add trigger later.

So far I only did 2 things and it didn't work. Added 3 spawn points to tagged CreatureFactory, no cow spawns. Had to stop here, busy over the Holidays and the days surrounding. Arrow

I understand ya.

The people's choice for the map is definitely a hard one because I guess there is so many and it's everywhere too and not just on one server. My only luck is to try to release one and let the map get a little play and see what others can say, maybe something might come along when it comes to advanced mapping with some random codes in it. Maybe I'm just interested in the engine ability lol oops.  Embarassed
