Yes perhaps with the both of you would be nice.
Tonight I did some homework, with pen and paper. Made a new plan. Map is too big and too buggy.
I've decided that the following tasks will be on my to do lists for the next coming 2 months:
To build new:
- Totally new spawn. But I had this already in mind.
- Totally new midfield ( the parts and corridors after you opened up the mine gates that shows a greenlight after the trigger).
This is where the map somehow got real buggy. After the big underground gates . The big 1024 x³ tesselated brushes are just born to give to bsp cuts and consume lots of memory and lighting. After some indept looks.
- Boss fight
- Special Ending
It is looking good but this has not the right feeling of a true CrystalMine map as like my others. Maybe it is my busy weekly schedule that puts me up with a tired head to map in the late hours.
August I am taking vacaction, coming to France Demona!
Rebuild:
- Mine Gates.
I will make this entrance just as good or even better as the big one Rork! Promised
Small reworks:
- Base
- Overview
Rest of the map stays untouched.
The ironic thing is that most 'real-looking' mine map is the very first one when I just started mapping for MH Â
Those caves are nice and feels more a like a mine rather than simply walking underground without a clue. |

A new look on the mid-area, this should be more like it.
Some textures need upscaling and or alignment, details will come in the final versions.
Here a couple of screenshots, actual size is bigger since some parts aren't lightened yet.
More mining, less bases, bigger, and more to explore! |

Building the final temple / boss stage at the moment. Perhaps one if the biggest you ever seen in Unreal Tournament.
I hope can squeeze this in the CM4 Main map along with the other parts, CM3 is huge, CM4 is going to like gigantic-titan-huge. I am sure it will all be worth in the end when we are all playing the final edition.
There is going to be water everywhere, but I'll do that at the end.
All walls that have the current brown stone texture, will be black just as CM3. To enhance, and make more vivid/bright colours. Here is a mylevel-test-map-screenshot. Current colours aren't definitive but, It creates a pretty cool effect:

Update:
A second version, Beta (Non-monster) is finished
- New Spawn
- Upgraded Visuals
- New Boss stage
- Totally new and reworked mid game
- Added Music, ambient sounds & some experimental sounds
- 4 spawns points, because of its huge proportions.
- Added notifications, and more interacting triggers.
- Inventory Items, some are experimental!
Ready for mapping server.
If things turn out to be properly working I will make a normal version with monsters, screenshots and additional decoration, either a general or eventually final version.
Note: The teleporters present at spawn, left to the entrance link to first, second last spawnpoint! use can always teleport back to back to first spawn. All for testing purposes. Map is way too big for just 1 run through the map . Â

Maybe you can ask BlackWolf for permission to again access to the upload folder on the server, since you've been a server administator yourself for years! (XOLDOG 400)
Would be nice to have multiple persons in charge to upload maps, since BoB and BW are busy men, I guess |

You said no monsters. There's fish! They can bite.
See this guy a lot on your maps.
Tried GoPostal's scanner, and it worked great. Opened doors, revealed switches... and crashed the map like 5 times before I gave up on it.
Also, that last shot right there... the bot who was following me couldn't get off the lift because of the way it's shaped.
Though, map doesn't seem to have much bot-pathing. Didn't look in UnrealEd, just noted bot behavior as I walked through.
He stopped following me at the stairs.
Map is beautiful, but I kept getting lost. Easier to figure out where to go when there's monsters around.
At the far end there's a switch that opens a "control room" but I couldn't figure out where that place was.
Nice mine. You can access the side barred off areas...
...good place to place monsters or hide from them.
This is just amazing!
Can't say where this was, what with the lost, but there's 3 of these waterfalls in there. The 1st one on the left is this one...
...the only 1 where it doesn't go all the way to the bottom.
Love how it looks, can't wait to see it with monsters and bot-pathing. |

All true Evilgrins. The guy, holding the sign, is the character/ skin I always use. Love the warboss skin, because it always smiles, no matter what move or taunt you make .  This is just a second preview version. Just want to make sure this build is working properly.  The previous build was a little bugged.  Botpathing, Monsters 'n stuff will be added after; when people has given their POV and commentary on this current version. The control room is on your left, when you walk into the big cave with the cyan crystals, in the carved out hole/gap with the lift present in it. Or to make it easier: The opposing direction of the big mine gate. Glad you like it so far  After I red your post, I edited my post above. There are monsters (Low health ) present, but they are part of a gamplay-test.

I'll probably do more walkthroughs, it was fun poking around in there. Also, monster-wise, there's a setting in the AI where they avoid you. Basically follow you slightly but keep at a distance... which for simple display maps like yours as it is currently, might be a cool way to go...
