Has anyone tried the Tally Ho server yet?

I for one havent cos i cant remember how to play it Laughing

Wolfi is the Tally Ho expert and we are thinking of having an evening on there so he can show everyone what its all about.

I have played on it before and from what i remember, its fun (has insta too Laughing

).

Anyone interested in trying it out one evening? Will organise a day when we have an idea on numbers.

If I recall right, there are two human teams (Red and Blue) that have to fight against monsters randomly spawned into DM maps. The more monsters you kill, the better, plus you can't kill your human opponents otherwise you receive penalties and become a "lamer/llama". There's no health nor ammo regen, so you have to use the pickups you can find in the map and kill the monsters for health bonuses.
I agree with Catze, without insta and only a few players on the server would be quite hard.

Played this mod for the first time like 8 years ago (was an older version) on a server named Javafrag Tally-ho!.
Good memories... Oh dang I'm getting old.

When we did Survival we found a lot of the original problems with Beefbowl, SportsInvasion and the stuff in area code and fixed most of them before finally dumping them. It just felt like too much to include in a game. Beefbowl was fun but needed some serious tweaking to make it server playable and solid. I'd have to dig out the old source stuff Bob but if you are interested in updating the U, let me know and I'll find it.
